Sgt. Russell Landrum, center, and Deputy Ronald McMillian, left, each received a certificate &letter of Appreciation from Sheriff Roundtree during a Command Staff meeting. On May 11, 2013, at 12:15 a.m., deputies were Dispatched to an armed robbery on Lumkin Road. The suspect was gone upon arrival and a report was taken. Sergeant Landrum then took a strategic vantage point and continued to look for the suspect along with Deputy McMillian. Upon observing him in the area, Sergeant Landrum and Deputy McMillian after a short struggle with the suspect placed him under arrest. The victim identified the suspect and he was charged with armed robbery.
