Only certain types of reports may be filed.

Did this incident occur outside of Richmond County?

Is the Suspect of the reported incident currently on the scene?

Are you under the age of 18? (If you are less than 18 years of age, your parent or guardian can file the report on your behalf.)

Is there physical evidence to collect or process? Ex. Blood, fingerprints, etc.

Does this incident involve the theft of a firearm?

Does the incident involve the theft or loss of ID and/or identification documents (passports, consular ID) issued by foreign governments?

Upon completion of this online report process:
- You will see the words: "Your online police report has been submitted" showing that your police report is complete
- You will be given a temporary case number until the report is reviewed.
- Once the report is approved, an official case number will be assigned, and you will be able to print a copy of the report to keep for your records

O.C.G.A § 16-10-26. False Report of a Crime
A person who willfully and knowingly gives or causes a false report of a crime to be given to any law enforcement officer or agency of this state is guilty of a misdemeanor. Misdemeanors come with a punishment of up to one year in prison, a fine up to $1,000, or both.
