Upon completion of this online report process:

• You will see the words: "Your online police report has been submitted" showing that your police report is complete
• You will be given a temporary case number until the report is reviewed.
• Once the report is approved, an official case number will be assigned, and you will be able to print a copy of the report to keep for your records

O.C.G.A § 16-10-26. False Report of a Crime

A person who willfully and knowingly gives or causes a false report of a crime to be given to any law enforcement officer or agency of this state is guilty of a misdemeanor. Misdemeanors come with a punishment of up to one year in prison, a fine up to $1,000, or both.
