Investigator Kris Lapham,

On November 30, 2017, Investigator Kris Lapham was notified of unauthorized charges at various businesses over the last few days, with the RCSO’s Visa Credit Card in an amount totaling over $18,000.00.  Additional Investigators began responding to various businesses throughout neighboring counties to acquire video surveillance footage of possible suspects and purchase information from the card.  Video surveillance footage and purchase information from the card was obtained from over 10 businesses depicting at least two suspects involved in the use of the credit card information.  Investigator Lapham continued to work over the next several weeks with developed leads from other agencies in an attempt to learn the identity of the suspects. With the aid of law enforcement databases, contacts from other law enforcement agencies, criminal history records, and social media sites Investigator Lapham was able to identify both subjects involved in the crime and obtain arrest warrants. As the result of diligence and dedication, Investigator Lapham was able to make an arrest and solve the case.
