The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has implemented “Meet Your Richmond County Zone Lieutenant” on the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office website. The implementation design is to help citizens engage with the zone Lieutenant directly responsible for the location of their concern. To view or make contact with your zone Lieutenant please visit www.richmondcountysheriffsoffice.com.  The links are listed in two locations on the website. The first being the “QuickLinks”   at the left of the home page. The second is located in “Get in Touch” at the top of the home page.

Visitation for Sgt. Greg Meagher will be Thursday evening, 1800 – 2000 hours at King Funeral Home at 124 Davis Rd.

 

The funeral mass will be Friday at 1200 hours at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity, 720 Telfair St.  Burial will follow at Westover Cemetery.

 

All officers attending the service are requested to arrive no later than 1100 hours.  Parking will be in the 7th St parking lot of the James Brown Arena.  Proper attire for uniform personnel for the funeral will be Class A uniform (long sleeve shirts with tie) if you were issued one..

This means that anybody can see your status updates and pictures. Some even have their current address in the “places lived” app. Security experts say that having a public profile on Facebook is like laying out the welcome mat for burglars and identity thieves.

Extreme Heat Information:
Overexertion or overexposure during extreme heat can cause many heat related illness. It is important to minimize activity and exposure as much as possible. Persons who are sick or overweight and older adults or children are more likely to be effected by heat related illnesses. It is important to take protective measures during extreme heat to minimize the risks for you and your family.
